Licensed Practical Nurse

Coplin Health Systems is seeking an experienced Licensed Practical Nurse for a full-time position at its Ravenswood site. The LPN must possess efficient organizational skills with ability to take a leading role in patient care at a Primary Care facility. The LPN must have the ability to provide excellent professional services to the patients, families and with the primary care team.

As a staff nurse, the LPN will assist in the management of patient care with a broad spectrum of needs from non-emergent to life threatening conditions. The LPN will work in coordination with other nursing staff, providers, physicians and must have the ability to implement skilled nursing practices and processes to assess, prioritize, plan and implement nursing care as patients present to the clinic.

Work schedule will be full-time, with benefits. Forty hour work-week schedule will be established based on site needs.

Behavioral Health Therapist

Coplin Health Systems is seeking Behavioral Health Therapists for Wood and Wirt County, West Virginia.

The behavioral health therapist operates as part of the primary care team for patients at Coplin Health Systems, offering recommendations regarding behavioral health interventions to primary care providers, conducting brief interventions requested by primary care providers, and providing behavioral health services.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
A master’s degree in a social science field is required. A current and valid state license to practice behavioral health in the state of West Virginia, and good standing with all appropriate licensing agencies is preferred. The candidate must be working towards licensure for consideration for this position. 

Work schedule will be full-time with benefits. Loan repayment options available. CME funds and leave time are included in benefits. Typical schedule is four (4) ten (10) days.

CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT

Health Informatics

The health informatics and compliance specialist provides leadership and expertise in quality improvement, education, informatics, compliance, and research to all Coplin Health System sites.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES OF THE POSITION
• Identifies, develops, implements, and maintains an efficient and effective clinical information system in cooperation with the IT department.
• Supports adoption and best practice use of the clinical information system through education of and collaboration with all users.
• Develops organizational policies and initiatives related to collecting, managing, and communicating clinical information.
• Collaborates with providers to enhance delivery of care and clinical quality through use, analysis, and refining of healthcare information systems and data.
• Uses data analytics tools to evaluate and analyze clinical data and trends in care delivery; identify root causes of specific patient care trends; and ensure consistent improvement in trends.
• Reviews and validates key clinical data submissions, including UDS reporting, PCMH activities, and HRSA reporting.
• Identifies and resolves user practice workflow and process issues and concerns, improving processes and application features as needed.
• Acts as the primary liaison between IT and the clinical areas of Coplin Health Systems.
• Serves as a super user for the clinical information system, ensuring the quality and integrity of system data.
• Oversees and monitors Coplin Health Systems’ compliance program.
• Identifies high risk areas through risk assessments and other means.
• Prepares written practice standards and procedures to reduce Coplin Health Systems’ vulnerability to fraud and abuse.
• Develops, coordinates, and participates in a training program that ensures all individuals affiliated with Coplin Health Systems (e.g., Board members, employees, contractors, vendors, agents, and volunteers) are knowledgeable of, and comply with, the compliance program and standards of conduct.
• Works with the Pharmacy department to ensure 340B compliance.
• Participates in risk management evaluations, quality of care reviews, compliance investigations, and HIPAA investigations, and reports findings to appropriate members of the executive team.
• Functions as HIPAA privacy officer, ensuring patient confidentiality and security of clinical information systems and other data collection tools.
• Meets with various committees including, but not limited to, Risk Management, PCMH, and Quality Improvement.
• Performs other duties as assigned, including special projects identified by the executive team. 
This job has NO supervisory responsibilities.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Master’s degree preferred in a healthcare related field. Minimum requirement is a Bachelor’s degree in healthcare related field; knowledge of clinical information systems and clinical processes; and three years experience in patient care as a clinical information system user.

WORKING CONDITIONS
This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as laptop computers and smartphones. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally required to stand; walk; sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls; reach with hands and arms; climb stairs; balance; stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl; talk or hear; and taste or smell. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate with frequent interruptions. The employee must occasionally lift or move up to 20 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by the job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus. Travel is primarily local during the business day, although some out-of-area and overnight travel may be expected.
